Rather than discarding these layers of color, Carla carefully peels them away, hand-selects and cuts each piece, and arranges hundreds of individual fragments into the overlapping pattern that defines the collection. Each fragment carries a small piece of the artist’s creative history, making every Mermaid Tail completely unique.
